Dai Quheng, who got the first place in imperial examination and had been chosenas a grand minister of states as well as a grand academician, was a famous senior officerduring Qianlong and Jiaqing periods in Qing dynasty. Due to the shortage of relevantmaterials, the accumulation of previous works didn't conform to his important place. Onthe foundations of former study, this paper try to analyze the relationship between DaiQuheng and the politics during Qianlong and Jiaqing periods in two aspects: firstly thecase of Literary Inquisition which the clan of Dai who lived in Dayu got involved in;secondly, the reason why Dai Quheng was taken into account thoughout the period ofQianlong and Jiaqing.
