The famous prostitute in this period were a special population. There was a common character in this population, they either good at dancing and singing or qin (music playing), qi (chess playing), shu (calligraphy) and hua (painting). Finally, they had a abject destiny or a good fate. During this time in the famous prostitute population, a special culture phenomenon formed, it was "famous prostitute artist procession". The appearance of this population accommodated the culture ethos of the period, they opposed to traditional ethical, and this lead to the gradual appearance of women self consciousness.XueSusu was a representative of the most famous prostitute artist population. In this paper, the author mainly studied Xue’s painting. In her painting aspect, flower and bird, character, mountains-and-waters painting were both mentioned. In these aspects, the orchis and bamboo theme were referred mostly. She motivated by orchis, compared herself by the rakish and candor of the bamboo and orchis. All of these represented the refinedness and helplessness of a under a cloud woman. The study point of penetration with Xue, focal pointed Xue’s disclosure of self and the origin of her art style. Futher, the origin painting art of the famous prostitute artist in late Ming dynasty was studied. The relationship between famous prostitute artist population and famous literaties in this period was illustrated. The famous prostitute artist painting style infected by their particular status, and all of their lives was regulated by the famous literaties. Their pleasure,anger,sorrow and joy could moved to the literaties, and actually, they had a correlated connection. The life condition always infected their painting. The unstable prostitute lives made them drawing rapidly and vivid, but after back to fine and rich life, their drawing delicate and elegant, the formed style not only because of training in brothel but also the communication with the famous literaties and the emergence of self consciousness. Except Xue, MaShouzhen,LiYin,GuMei and other famous prostitutes did much contribution to literature and art, a famous prostitute culture was formed gradually. This culture had a great infection in the development of art in late Ming Dynasty, brothel culture and the literaties’creation. Wish by the study of Xue, the famous prostitute artist population could be a new height in society.The paper consist of five chapter, except the first introduction chapter, the body of the work includes four chapter:The second chapter illustrateed Xue’s live background, her experience and touring;The third chapter mainly disscussed Xue’s work in flower and birds, character, mountains-and-waters painting, among other things, the author classified the work as orchis, bamboo and other theme, and summarised her painting feature;The fourth chapter represented the form factor of Xue’s painting style.The fifth chapter explained the influence of the famous prostitute culture represented by Xue.Lastly, summary of the whole passage, it made audience realized Xue and the famous prostitute culture thoroughly.
