French Left Bank director Alain·Robbe-Grillet is also an new novelists. When he created a novel, he often applied the theory and artistic techniques of the film. Chosen this mutual infiltration phenomenon of Robbe-Grillet's creation on novels and films as study object, This paper analyzed the character of image in Robbe-Grillet's materialization novels"and literary factors in films, with the deep discussion on how phenomenology played a perceptual guidance in the process of pictorialization of Robbe-Grillet's"materialization novels",and how literary notion of nouveau roman played a ideational guidance in the process of innovation of artistic means in Robbe-Grillet's films.The thesis is divided into introduction, body and conclusion three parts. The introduction briefly recommended the domestic research status quo on the phenomenon of arts means mutual infiltration of Grillet's novels and films. And the text was in three parts, The first part started from Robbe-Grillet's academic background, and firstly introduced the historical background and representatives of nouveau roman, in which focused on the discussion of nouveau roman's theories and the innovations of artistic means of nouveau roman's novels. After then I would explain the reason for the prosperous of French films, focused on the discuss of the concern Left Bank director show consciousness and unconsciousness, and the analysis of the aesthetic principles and English style mirror of nouveau roman.The second part was mainly proceed in theoretical representation, which is constituted by the two plates. The section of "Materialization of the novel world" concluded in the dual influence of Materialization theory and phenomenology Grillet's novels cleared up the"depth"buildings of traditional novels with the pictorialization and fragmentation of objects, by the contrast of realist novels in 19th century and Robbe-Grillet's double "materialized" Novel, In the same time Grillet reconstructed a kind of novel with film character in the way of blowing up the center and smashing sections which is similar with disposition of the film. And the part of "Literature of the film world" reached a conclusion when Grillet introduced polytonality and alienation effects into his films, in actually he had successfully subverted the traditional idea about"new novel"in the film field, by the contrast of the classic Hollywood tradition films and the personalized style of Robbe-Grillet's films.The third part of the main text is also divided into two sections and mainly focused on the analysis of text. The part of "The typical of cinematic novel"combined with phenomenological theory, analyzed the reference and application on subjective camera, zoom lens, non-coherent editing, cloth-ray film techniques of Grillet's novel "jealous";the part of "literature means in many films"mainly analyzed the narration of labyrinth in Robbe-Grillet's film L'annee derniere a Marienbad,alienation effects in Trans-Europ-Express and the polyphonic features in the film voice.The conclusion posed although it was not origin from Grillet that integrate film artistic techniques into novel creation, many writers had been tried this attempt before him, that Grillet added literary factors into films was still useful for the modernization breakthrough of the film techniques, despite that brought about some viewing barriers to audience.
