While the Chinese mainland film, Hong Kong film, and Taiwan film are now blending into the new conception of Chinese film, the audience are still receptive to the Hong Kong literary film. The modern Hong Kong literary film has strong humane care, post-modern mentality of film-maker, inclusiveness of different emotions and participance of commercial elements. All these characteristics given above are now leading to a new Hong Kong literary with intertextuality of literary and commerce, adding speculative elements into commercial film as well.
