Modern psycholinguists believe that reading is an active, complex mental activity, readers need to select information, speculation and confirmation according to their knowledge and experience. The readers determine whether they read the article, relying on their own monitoring ability. However, many studies have showed that the monitoring ability of the reader is very low, and demonstrated that many readers had the problem of overconfidence. It means that the readers did not grasp the learning materials, but they think themselves have been very good to learn the article. In this article, we use different judgment forms and different cognitive tasks, to study how to improve the reader's monitoring ability, from the perspective of the effects of improve the reader's monitoring ability, in order to find better ways to improve the accuracy of the comprehension monitoring. In this research, comprehension monitoring refers to the assessment of the level of understanding, which the individual's subjective estimates of their own reading process and the results of reading the article. The measure of felt understanding has been used to access the accuracy of comprehension monitoring. This article use two judgment forms and two different kinds of cognitive tasks, and use high school students as participants. In study 1, we used 2*3 between-subject design. With the recall of cognitive tasks, we explore the delayed effects of metacomprehension monitoring and judge whether a term-specific judgment can improve the accuracy of metacomprehension monitoring. In study 2, we used keywords as the cognitive task, and we still use two kinds of judgment forms, to explore how the cognitive task can influence the accuracy of metacopmprehension monitoring.Through these two studies, we get some conclusions as follows:Firstly, delayed recall and delayed key-words can increase the accuracy of metacomprehension monitoring, compared with global judgment, term-specific judgment can enhance the accuracy of metacomprehension monitoring better.Secondly, whatever cognitive tasks were used, the performance under global judgment was better than under term-specific judgment.Thirdly, when we used the term-specific judgment form, if recall as a cognitive task, delayed recall reduced overconfidence, the delayed keyword also reduced the subjects'overconfidence.
