On The Structure "AA一V" In Contemporary Chinese

In contemporary Chinese,there is a structure "AA—V",like"轻轻一碰,淡淡一笑,暗暗一想,细细一读,重重一击"etc.It consists of duplication of monosyllabic adjectives AA,adverbial modifier"一"and a verb.We call it "AA—V" structure.This thesis chooses the structure as the study object.Meanwhile,it is studied and probed into deeply on syntax,semantics and pragmatics.In the hope of revealing the selctional restriction of the structure on AA and V,summarizing grammatical meaning of the word"一";abstracting the meaning of structure and analyzing its textual function,we will give it full description and interpretation.ChapterⅠsums up research achievement of predecessors and analyses research status.On this ground we bring forward the purpose and significance of the topic.We will elaborate the theoretical foundation and research methods.ChapterⅡstudies the selectional restriction of the structure "AA—V" on AA and the semantics function of AA.We merge and organize all the adjectives in the books as follows:Detailed Information Grammar Dictionary in Contemporary Chinese by Yu Shiwen,Quantitative Study of Modern Chinese Adjective by Wang Qilong,Dictionary of Contemporary Chinese Adjectives'Usage by Zheng Huaide and Meng Qinghai.According to the three books,a monosyllabic adjective table is summed up and to be the scope of our study.First,basing on different semantic feature,we classify all the 34 adjectives which can enter our structure.Then the entering ability of 9 categories is compositored and semantics selection of the structure on A is analysed.Finally,we study the fuction of AA on syntax and semantics.ChapterⅢstudies the restriction of structure onⅤon two aspects:syntax and semantics.Basing on the study the features ofⅤwill be summarized.ChapterⅣstudies its syntax function and features.ChapterⅤfocuses on structural meaning and the textual function.First,We define the nature of "一",analyse the special syntax and pragmatics meaning of it. Then according to the Construction Grammer Theory and former research,we abstrat meaning of the "AA—V" structure.At last,we discuss the textual function,which has two representation:with follow-up sentence and without it.
