The Emigrants From Jinmen In Southeast Asia In Qing Dynasty

Like other overseas Chinese of Fujian and Guangdong provinces, lots of people in Jinmen move to Southeast Asia in Qing dynasty due to their hardship in hometown and the same origin and near geographical location between Xiamen and Jinmen.For these 400 years, both the Jinmen island and Jinmen people have witnessed the interactivity between both sides and the history development in which they also play an important role. In the near future, Jinmen will continually play as this key role.This research, based on the analysis on history records, not only reviews the policy influence on the immigration, but also explores the reason of this immigration in Qing dynasty and looks for the history root of this trend.With the convenience of familiarity, this research focuses on the immigration history from the academic perspective.
