The Study Of Superstition' Social Structure Infrastructure

Superstition is a long-standing phenomenon in ancient china. The superstition has been regarded as baneful influence of feudalism since the P.R.C was founded. It has been cracked down and restrained. The superstition almost faded away after the striking and restraining upon it by the china government. However, the superstition prevailed out of our awareness since the 1990s. Superstitious behavior was found among many social group including even some CCP members, government official and intellectual person in many district. What is the social foundation and the origin of it?This is the issue of my dissertation center on.The superstition was effectively demonized after a series political propaganda named"advocating the science, countering the superstition". This would bring two difficult problems for our research.The first is how to avoid the rigid impression and the second is how to search for the material. So the author try to respect the value neutrality and suspend the given rigid impression to get rid of stereotype .the author also adopted individual cases alone study. The author makes deeply discussion and examination to gather the information.We may draw three conclusions after the researching.First, the prophet plays a crucial role in the sub-culture of superstitious .good or not good he does effects the superstition behaviors directly. Then, superstition behavior brings some specifically social function. On one hand, some function vanished positively, for instance, curing disease. On the other hand, some function intensified positively, such as psychology consoling and future predicting. These two functions are relevant to the increasing of uncertainty of the society in nowadays. And the third, the superstition sub-culture agree with the multi-needs of the social structure in nowadays. It meets the elites' need for the future predicting and unsafely feeling easing. It satisfies the disadvantaged groups' needs for the disease curing and psychology consoling. It provides the middle class with the pathway leading to the success.
