With the development of society and the changes of the times, loneliness has become a public health issue like obesity and smoking, which is called "social infectious disease".Studies have shown that loneliness can bring people negative experiences such as helplessness, depression, depression and despair, and bring great harm to human health.College students are very valuable human resources, they are the hope of the nation and shoulder an important responsibility. However, existing studies have found that loneliness is a serious problem among college students, which is extremely harmful to their physical and mental health. Therefore,to reduce the loneliness of college students and enhance their mental health should be a concern for colleges families and the whole societyFrom the perspective of social capital, positive emotion and perceived social support, this paper attempts to explore the specific mechanism of the social capital of college students on loneliness,so as to provide theoretical guidance and empirical evidence for alleviating the loneliness of college students. In this study,502 college students from two universities in Xi'an were assessed using the Bonding Social Capital and Bridged Social Capital Scale,Positive Emotion Scale,Perceived Social Support Scale and Loneliness Scale. On the basis of analysing the circumstances and characteristics of undergraduate bond social capital, bridge social capital, positive emotion, perceived social support and loneliness, the relationship between the above variables is discussed in depth, and a positive emotion is presented to comprehend social support in social capital. The moderated mediation model influencing loneliness focuses on the mediating role of positive emotions and the moderating role of perceived social support. The results of the study are as follows:(1)There were significant gender differences in positive emotion, and boys scored significantly higher on positive emotion than girls. There were significant gender differences on support dimensions of social support, and girls scored significantly higher on other support than boys.(2)There were significant differences in the positive emotions in the grade, and the scores of freshmen in positive emotions were significantly higher than those of sophomores.(3)Bondng social capital, bridge social capital, positive emotion, perceived social support and loneliness have significant negative correlation.Bondng social capital and bridge social capital are positively correlated with positive emotion and perceived social support.Positive emotion is positively correlated with perceived social support.(4)Bondng social capital and bridge social capital have direct effects on loneliness, and both social capital can significantly predict loneliness.(5)Positive emotions negatively predict loneliness, and play a partial intermediary role between bonding social capital and loneliness, positive emotions play a part of mediating role between bridge social capital and loneliness. But there is a difference in the proportion of the mediation effect in the two models.(6)Perceived social support moderated the second path of the bonding social capital through the modiating effect of positive emotions affecting loneliness, and perceived social support moderated the first and second path of the bonding social capital through the modiating effect of positive emotions affecting loneliness. It can be seen that there are differences in the mediation mechanism of social support and positive emotion in the relationship between two types of social capital and loneliness. In summary, the results of this study indicate that individuals with more bonding social capital and bridge social capital have higher level of positive emotion and lower level of loneliness.Perceived social support regulates the mediating role of positive emotions in the two types of social capital and loneliness:When individuals have realized more social support, positive emotions significantly affect loneliness, and when individuals have less social support, positive emotion has no effect on loneliness. These conclusions suggest that in the intervention of loneliness of college students,we should first increase the social capital of the individual.Secondly,we should improve the level of positive emotion. In addition,we should take into account the influence of external factors of social support.
