A Study Of The Qixian Dialect

Qixian county is in the central section of Shanxi province.According to the "Atlas of the Chinese language",the Qixian dialect belongs to Bingzhou part of Jin dialect.This survey primarily analyzes phonology,vocabulary and some grammar:first,phonology, introduces the phonological features,the relationship of initial and final and tone,homonyms, comparison between ancient phonology and modern phonology,the differences between spoken language and written language and so on,reflect the whole of the Qixian dialect based on Synchronic and diachronic,in order to bring out the Qixian phonology veritably and thoroughly;second,vocabulary, we mainly collect some characteristic words to explain and describe,including nouns,adjectives,verbs, pronouns,classifier,idioms with the number,the structure with "ren",hoping it can reflect the variety of living custom and traditional culture that people living in this place have,and keep those characteristic words;simultaneously,due to the impact of Mandarin,the Qixian dialect is in a rapid change,some characteristics of the Qixian dialect are disappearing,which can be found in spoken language,so this article has detailed the words we can collect for demonstrate more completely;Third,grammar,we descript the prefix "tsa⁵²","ta³¹²",the suffix"tsa⁵²","p^hi(?)⁵","ts(?)⁵","pa⁵²","sεi⁵²","ta³¹²","kuεi⁵²",the suffix "ts(?)³¹²","l⁵²",superposition and grammar features of "t(?)".
