Studies About Qian Xiyan

In literary Wanli of the Ming Dynasty,Qian Xiyan obtained a wide range of people's identity for his rich creation and extensive friendship.The special survival status embodied the new trend of differentiation among officials in the late Ming,as well as his mentality which indicates certain significance of literary and culture.On Qian Xiyan's track,"Travel" is quite usual in his life.At first,he escaped from family in his childhood,and then became an officer in adulthood and a Shanren at last.All of his life ended up in "Travel".His name had been changing as time went on, he was self-proclaimed "Qinchuan Noble",then changed into "Useless one between heaven and earth" after the prime of life,which re-positioning the role of his own reality.The words "Useless one" not only means anger,but also critical view.Shanren's acts and mind enrich Qian Xiyan's literal creations with far-reaching implications.Qian Xiyan's poem is mainly about gifts, entertainment,all of which depended by the way of traveling between rich and the powerful man. Thanks to the experience of traveling around and a wide range of friendship,He gathered a great deal of story material and reference of novel history,by which he had found his status in the history of novel in late Ming Dynasty.Based on the research of all levels above,the special significance for literary scene in the late Ming of Qian Xiyan points clear,that is,he is an important point for us to find out the trace and mind of Shanren in the Ming Dynasty,and another important aspect for us to find out the truth of history of novel of late Ming.This paper will describe the significance of two aspects about Qian Xiyan,and the specific structure as follows.Chapterâ… :Introduction of Qian Xiyan's literal trace,that is,organizing the contents of his family,Birth and Death,main experience,friendship,works and so on,in order to clarify some long-standing mistake.Chapterâ…¡:Qian Xiyan's acting and writing in the circumstances of Shanren.This chapter will state his trace,personality,mind and the creations,all of which will provide specimens for study of Shanren.Chapterâ…¢:Qian Xiyan's works "cunning Garden" presented late Ming novel.This chapter not only focus on Qian Xiyan and "cunning garden" by study of novel-writings and consumer groups of late Ming,but also states the inspect to inspection of the novel material,as well as the association between the trend of writers' pursuit of difference and the thinking and spirit of time.
