The Research On Perfectionism, Achievement Motivation And The Relationship With Mental Health In College Students

In this paper, I selected two hundreds and eighty students come from four colleges in Dalian, and use the multidimensional perfectionism scale(FMPS),the achievement motivation scale(AMS) and the SCL-90 scale as the study tool. This paper bases on the existing researches and puts on my point of view. In this paper, I have thoroughly analyzed the factors which will influence the perfectionism, the achievement motivation and the mental health of the college students, and further more, I also analyzed the relations of these three variable. In the finality of this paper, I drawn several conclusions:1.The college students have the medium level perfectionism psychology tendency.2.The college students have high achievement motivation level.3.The college students' mental health condition is unoptimistic.4.Major, grade, gender, whether the only child in one family and the family's income in every month are all the factors that affect the college students'perfectionism psychology tendency. And only the major is the factor that affects the college students'achievement motivation. Major, whether the only child in one family, coming from country or town and the family's income in every month are all the factors that affect the college students'mental health.5.The perfectionism psychology tendency, the achievement motivation level and the mental health condition of the college students have the remarkable correlation。These three variables interact and inter-work each other.
