A Comparative Study Of Proverbs About Women Between Chinese And Korean

There are countless proverbs in Chinese and South Korean languages. Proverbs in the languages are mostly derived from the habits of the highest representation expressed in the language in which there are quite a handful of proverbs relating to women in the content of their image. In this paper, a combination of linguistic and cultural point of view reflect on women's issues relating to the quantitative analysis of proverbs describes and reveals the two proverbs on women and the different points of common ground in China and South Korea.To further study the relationship between the two cultures, this article is divided into five parts.The first chapter introduces the definition of the Chinese proverb, Korea and language features. It focuses on the definition of the proverb, and the history of the relationship between Chinese and the Korean proverb research purposes, research status and research methods in this article.The second chapter, deals with the comparison of Chinese and Korean proverbs on "feminine beauty". Related proverbs are classified as "external in the United States of America"."inner beauty" categories. Then a comprehensive comparison, into praise of female beauty and female attack in the United States, and how the two general types of women describe the characteristics of U.S. culture.With regards to the third chapter,it dwells on the "taboo words and deeds of women" comparing those proverbs of the Chinese with those of the Koreans. Differences in content with accordance to the proverb is divided into four main categories: to say jealous, fickle, lazy; respectively and summarized the characteristics of for example.The forth chapter, points out the "female status" as it is used in comparison between Chinese and Korean prover. It is segregated into: daughter, mother-in-law, daughter-in-law, wives, widows, concubines, etc. in conection with the family and society; the status of the characteristics of different roles.The fifth chapter, explains the Chinese cultural background of South Korean women as discussed through the formation of the two countries to explore the characteristics of the ancient culture of the causes of women.Through the image of women involved in the analysis of proverbs, the implication of studying proverbs of the Korean women in China should uphold the relationship between culture and the hope for the propagation of the Chinese and Korean nationalities teaching Chinese and Korean proverbs to provide some valuable reference to further studies of certain generations to come.
