Language is not only a media to communicate thought but fruit of culture. A language of a peoples reflects their social feature, which isn' t separated from many cultural characteristics of the peoples. Therefore, virtually the study of language is the analysis of culture, which is inevitable aspect of culture study.It is well-known that Japan is the closest neighbor of Korean. In the past both of them have absorbed Chinese culture. Only in these two countries, people can use ideographic character(hanzi) and phonogramic character(kana and hangul) .However, there are subtle differences in some aspects of culture.Proverb is one of cultural inheritance that ancestors left for descendant. It is not only the culture of language but also the culture of people. Each country has its own proverbs, especially provers concerning about language.In this article, the author makes a contrast of the Japanese-Korean Proverbs concerning about "language" from the perspective of culture to illustrate the different expressions of "speaking" in the two language.
