The Study Of The Exercises In The Elementary Oral Textbooks

The exercises in oral textbooks play a very important role in realizing the targets of the oral communicative ablity. The object of this research paper is the exercises taken from 5 sets of oral textbooks which are the significants of different periods of time. Using the statistics and quantity methods, this paper studied the quantity, the pattens, the items and the purposes of the chosen exercises; analized the features, regulations and problems in exercises designing; and discussed the issues on the common pattens and the unique pattens, the effective pattens and the uneffective pattens, the relations between the items, and the rate of the arrangement of the exercises for different purposes.At the end of this paper, suggestions were proposed to the teachers and the designers of the oral textbooks.
