Research On The Value Orientation Of Family Instructions In Ming And Qing Dynasty

Family instructions are all kinds of records about family education in ancient time of China, including poetry, roses, mottos, letters and so on. They are the records of family education to instruct later generations in the way one conducts in society, studying…, written by ancient sages in China. The ancient family instructions in China originated in the pre-Qin days, matured in Sui-Tang Dynasty, flourished in Song-Yuan Dynasty, and were at the height of power and splendor and declined in Ming-Qing Dynasty. Family instructions, manifold in forms, not only expanded the former contents in cultivating moral character, studying, handing affairs…, but also improved some aspects. Such as female instructions, social teaching, family trait construction, the guidance in employment. Besides, family instructions in Ming-Qing Dynasty embodies the value orientation in many facts---filial piety , predominant virtue ,nation and family being united, modesty and courtesy ,determination, encouragement, independence , diligence which are a great inspiration and practical value to contemporary family education in China. Therefore, critical inheritance and assimilation of family education from family instructions in Ming-Qing Dynasty will be used for reference to present family education.The thesis comprises mainly the following parts:Introduction. Briefly introduced the development of ancient family instructions, reviewed its achievement of research.Chapter1. Analyzed the social background of the development of family instructions in Ming-Qing Dynasty ,the brief instruction of its developing situation was given .Furthermore ,the dues of development were provided.Chapter2. Descript the formation and the features in content of family instructions in Ming-Qing Dynasty in detail.Chapter3. Analyzed the value orientation of family instructions in Ming-Qing Dynasty, and meanwhile expatiated the enlightenments for contemporary family education in China.
