Qin's family of Wuxi is a big family of south China in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It had successively maintained for more than 400 years. But it was not famous for it's result in the imperial examinations. And it had certain achievement on culture and art too. The first ancestor of Qin's family is Qin Guan in Northern Song Dynasty, who was the famous excellent poet in Northern Song Dynasty. His descendant Qin Weizhen moved to Wuxi in Song Dynasty, then Qin's family became a big family of south China.The Qin's family of Wuxi was a famous family in the imperial examination and politics. The first one who succeeded in the imperial examinations was Qin Kui, who was the sixth generation of descendants of Qin Weizhen. He was successful candidate in the highest imperial examinations in 1460, and he was the first on of Qin's family of wuxi who tacked part in the government by the imperial examinations. Qin Jin was the seventh generation of descendants of Qin Weizhen. He was successful candidate in the highest imperial examinations in 1493, and experienced the time of Xiao Zong, Wu zong and Shi Zong. He was the few one of Qin's family of Wuxi who was interpolated in the national history. From then on, Qin's descendants who were successfully in the imperial examinations were more.
