Yu Pian, writed by Gu Yewang in the ninth of Datong period of Liang dynasty (A.D.543), is the first regular script dictionary of our country. Succeeding Shuo Wen as another important dictionary, it has a very great influence on the development of later dictionaries. With the aim of pragmatism, the character collecting and interpretation of Yu Pian reflect the language using state of that time. Being revised and abbreviated for many times after accomplished, the Yu Pian's versions of each period have their own features. The different versions reflect the developments and changes of different times. It has great significance for linguistics, particularly for vocabulary history, to study the language and character of Yu Pian and the differences of them between different versions.Hui Lin's Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi of Tang dynasty has quoted a great quantity of Yu Pian, form which we can get a glimpse of the feature of Yu Pian that circulated in Tang dynasty. How Yu Pian circulated between the time of original and Song dynasty's versions and what are the differences and contactions of the original, the Song dynasty's and the Tang dynasty's versions are still have no final conclusion, due to a lack of persuasive language materials. To make the feature of Tang dynasty'sYu Pian which have been reflected in Hui Lin's Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi clear up and compare it with the other versions, is significant for the resolve of abovemontioned problems.This paper firstly makes a detailed out of predecessors' research of Yu Pian, and then compares the Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi's entries related to the original Yu Pian with the original Yu Pian, Song dynasty's Yu Pian and Japan's Zhuan Li Wang Xiang Ming Yi detaily. In accordance with consistent extent of the entries quoted by Yi Qie Jing Yin Yi with the original version divided this paper into five parts, and on the basis discusses the relationship between this period Yu Pian, the original and Song dynasty's versions of it.
