| We take the rhymes in the poems of national minority poets- Yelv Chucai and Sa Dula in Yusn Dynasty as the subject of our study, and try to inspect their phonetic system and provide materials for outlining the history of the development of phonetic system during Yuan Dynasty by thorough relating, induction and microanalysis. The thesis is mainly divided into four parts. The first part is an introduction. The part includes a brief introduction of Yelv Chucai's and Sa Dula's autobiography and works;a simple account of the value and purpose on the study of phonetics through rhymes in poems;and a confirmation of the volumes selected and the method of study. The second part mainly analyses the rhyme in the poems of Yelv Chucai and Sa Dula.By a thorough relating and investigation of 1490 poems with 1893 syllables written by them. And these rhymes can be classified into 18 categories, among which there are 14 categories of non-checked tone rhyme,Ge Ge Category,Jia Ma Category,Yu Mu Category,Jie Lai Category,Zhi Wei Category,Xiao Hao Category,You Hou Category,Jian Lian Category,Qin Xun Category,Han Xian Category,Zhen Wen Category,Jiang Yang Category,Geng Qing Category ,and Dong Zhong Category. The first seven categories are Yin rhyme and the last seven are Yang rhyme. And 4 categories of Ru rhyme, including Wu Zhu Category,Duo Jue Category,Xue Yue Category,De Zhi Category. The poetic rhyme in "modern style"poems is 15 categories, approximatly similar to Shu Sheng rhyme in "classical poems". With the dissimilarity of classical poems,Han Xian Category can be indiveded into Han Shan Category and Xian Tian Category in the system of rhymes in "modern style"poems. In the third part the poems of Yelv Chucai and Sa Dula are compared with the poems of the poets and the rhymes book in the same time by a form, such as Ping Shui Yun,Menggu Ziyun,Gujin Yunhui Juyao and Zhongyuan Yinyun.By comparing,we can discover that as far as the poems rhyme is concerned, the phonetic system of Yelv Chucai and Sa Dula is almost identical with the other poets in Song Dynasty and Yuan Dynasty, such as Yuan Yishan's,Yu Ji's,Wang Yun's,etc. In regard to rhymes book, the phonetic system of Yelv Chucai and Sa Dula is incompletely same tothe rhyme of Ping Shut Yun and Gujin Yunhui Juyao. Also,it is different from the rhyme book of north song Zhongyuan Yinyun. The last part is the conclusion. After analysis.we can draw a thorough conclusion about the rhymes in the poems of Yelv Chucai and Sa Dula from the aspects of Yin rhyme,Yang rhyme,, and Ru rhyme, etc.By studying on the rhymes in the poems of Yelv Chucai and Sa Dula,it is proved more that the phonetic change is a gradual process. Their phonetic rhymes both succeed to the rhymes in the poems in Song Dynasty, also partly reflected the pronunciation of that age. For example, the endings of rhymes such as -m,-n,and -ng of Yang rhyme didn't be mixed to use in Yelv Chucai's poems. But they begin to partly be mixed to use in Sa Dula's.Yuan rhyme can were classified into Zhen Wen Category in Yelv Chucai's poems, but were classified into Han Xian Category in Sa Dula's.A part of muddy Ru Sheng were drifting Yang Ping of pronunciation.A portion of libial words in Dong Zhong Category and Geng Qing Category belongeed to these categories simultaneously. The endings of Ru rhyme such as -p,-t,-k had been mixed to use, which means they were likely to have developed to glottal stop -?. Above all ,the phonetic rhymes system of Yelv Chucai and Sa Dula is located in the transitional stage of the phonetic system of Guang Yun to the phonetic system of Zhongyuan Yinyun. |
