| The Zhongyuan Yinyun has been valued by scholars as the main basis of modern Chinese phonology research. In this paper,we take the research results of Luo Changpei,Zhao Yintang,Lu Zhiwei,Wang Li,Yang Naisi,Li Xinkui,Ning Jifu, and Dong Tonghe as the target, compare the differences in vowels and rhymes among them, and analyze the reasons for the differences. Then,we take the single-character phonetic list(syllable list)of the Zhongyuan Yinyun constructed by Zhao Yintang,Yang Naisi,Li Xinkui, and Ning Jifu as the starting point, and compare them with each other to find out the differences in the phonemes of all the minor rhymes, analyze the reasons for the differences in detail, and summarize the types of differences. It also discusses the basis, argumentation, and treatment of the phonetic system of the Zhongyuan Yinyun, with the aim of making a more reasonable formulation of the phonetic system. This paper is divided into four chapters:The first chapter is an introduction, which describes the reason for the selection of this paper, the significance of the research,a brief description of the research results of different perspectives of the Zhongyuan phonology, and an introduction to the research methods used in this paper. The second chapter compares the phonetic system of the Zhongyuan phonetic system. In the first section,a comparison table of the vowel classification and onomatopoeia of the Zhongyuan phonetic system is constructed, and the main differences between the vowel systems are presented. These differences in vowels are then discussed in turn, including the classification and onomatopoeia of the vowels of the ancient Zhizhao family, the presence or absence of palatalization of the vowels of Jian,Xi,Qun,Xiao, and Xia,the presence or absence of the vowels of doubt and how they are constructed, and the onomatopoeia of the vowels of Sun.The reasons for the differences and the main basis of each family’s views are clearly identified, and the specific manifestations of these differences in the proposed phonetic character lists of Zhao,Yang,Li,and Ning are displayed. Finally,a section is devoted to discussing the individual minor rhymes in the word list that appear in the four schools with different phoneme measurements and analyzing the reasons for the differences. The third chapter compares the prosody of the rhyme system of Zhongyuan Yinyun.First,a comparison table of the rhyme classification and phonemes of each family in the Zhongyuan Yinyun is constructed. Then,we analyze the rhyme parts with large differences in the main vowels measured by each family, discuss whether there is a [y]rhyme, about the preposition [i],and the opening and closing of lip-sounding characters, and present our views. The last section is devoted to discussing the individual minor rhymes of the four families that appear in the character list with different proposed rhyme schemes and analyzing the reasons for the differences. The fourth chapter discusses other issues of the proposed rhyme differences in the Zhongyuan Yinyun. The fourth chapter discusses other problems of the phonetic differences in the Zhongyuan Yinyun, including the problems of the division and combination of some minor rhymes, the handling of the reappearance of minor rhymes, and the differences in the shape of individual characters. Finally, the concluding section summarizes the reasons for the differences in the phonetic transcriptions of the various schools. This includes the differences in the documentary materials on which the phonemes are based, the different methods of analysis, the different approaches to how some of the minor rhymes should be phonetically formulated, and the fact that each side has its own basis for disagreement. In the summary, the problems that need to be paid attention to when formulating phonetic values are summarized, and lessons are learned. |
