The objective of the dissertation is the intentional verbs in the modern Chinese, these verbs are the reflection of the intentional approach on the language stage. So these verbs boast a common feature on the language meaning stage of [the intentional function]. It was this intentional language meaning feature boasted in these intentional verbs can make these verbs make a sentence as its objects. The most obvious feature of the intentional verbs on the language meaning stage is to carry the object of a sentence.Chapter one, which has discussed thoroughly on the verbs those can carry objects of sentences in the modern Chinese. Before the in-depth research, the dissertation has divided the verbs those can take objects of small sentences into 6 categories on the basis of the research of the ancestors, and make a research of these objects carrying objects of small sentences on the stage of grammar and language meaning category by category. The dissertation has found that these verbs carrying objects of sentences express a spiritual activity or a language expressing activity of humanity or the symbol directing relationship between the two affairs on the stage of language meaning.Chapter two, which has raised the concept of intentional function, has improved that the psychological process of the humanity is actually an internal intentional process; and has improved that the expressing process and the signal directing process is a dependent intentional process and a multiplied intentional process, the three process mentioned before is on the basis of the intentional function, so in the dissertation these has been claimed as the process of intentional function. We have classified the objective, the approach, and the context of the intentional function. We think that the most obvious feature in the process of the intentional function is that it can get the external matter into the objective of the intention. And the verbs of the intentional function are the word express the approach of the intentional function.Chapter three, which has improved that sentences are reflections of the matters on the stage of the language meaning, however, the matter on the language stage has to be expressed by the sentence. And the dissertation has improved the essence of the intentional verbs carrying the sentence object is basis on the feature that the process of the intentional function can accept the external affairs.Chapter four, which has classified the verbs carrying the sentence objects by the explaining factor of the intentional function, and has made a research of the grammar, the feature of the language meaning thoroughly of the intentional verbs.Chapter five, which has raised the concept of the power of the intention and speech, and the power of the intention is actually the division of the intentional approach, and the power of speech is the extending of the power of the intention, and it has solved the problem of border of the objects carrying small sentences and JIAN YU SHI with the concept of the power of the intention and the power of the speech.The main clue of the dissertation is the concept of the intentional function, and has carried out the explaining research of the verb carrying small sentences in the modern Chinese on the basis of the concept.The objective of the dissertation is the intentional verbs in the modern Chinese, these verbs are the reflection of the intentional approach on the language stage.
