Study On The Development Of Xinjiang Water Conservancy In Qing Dynasty

The development of Xinjiang water conservancy in Qing dynasty played an important role in Chinese west development history. During the thousands of years, people in the region of west contributed much in water exploitation to fight with the rough nature. There was close connection between the existed,appeared or disappeared oasis and the water resource,water exploitation. After Qing dynasty unified Xinjiang region, it took large measures to develop agriculture in the north of Tianshan Mount and broke the situation of "agriculture in south, pasture in north". Water conservancy development in Qing dynasty gained more achievement than any ever period in history. So it is very useful to sum up the experiences and lessons for us today.Xinjiang water conservancy, especially in agriculture, was advanced by direct support and push of Qing government. It processed gradually according to guideline "consolidate west frontier, develop agriculture". Therefore, the change of water development has tight tie with the politics,military and agriculture activity in Xinjiang . On the basis of above, according to the different phases of water development, the author collected,integrated and found much history material and try to explain the situation of water development in Xinjiang. The thesis is divided into four parts. The first part introduces the Xinjiang geography and water development before Qing dynasty, explains the water development has the relation with the central government's power in Xinjiang region. The second part tells us the prosperity of water development after Qing dynasty unified Xinjiang and explains the reason,course and characters. The third part discusses the low tide and climax of water development in Xinjiang and demonstrates the role of national willpower. The forth part sums up the meaning of water development and management in Xinjiang. Here it analysis the management officer,water dissension,the fund resource,development method and labor, etc.As above, the four parts really shows us a historical picture of how the people in the region of Xinjiang fought with the nature.The thesis uses the traditional history method to compile. In addition, the author adapts the macro-description and micro-analysis, combining with the statistics.Water development is one of the most important aspects in social productivity, especially in Ancient times. It was the standard to measure the agriculture and social evolution. After the review of the ancient of water development, particularly in Qing dynasty, we can find the experiences that not only can prompt the social economy but also can coordinate with the nature. When facing the west development today, we are responsible to provide the theory and policy, pushing the tie of experience and production elements. Finally, realize the continuous development in agriculture of Xinjiang .
