Globazation Perspective On Construction And Development Of Confucius Institute

The 21st century is a century of globalization, globalization has being on developing in the last decades on economics, market, political, information, language and other areas. The quickly globalization developing not only changed people's living and working style globally, but also challenge the traditional country mode and national culture across the world. As the globalization trend becomes more and more popular, a lot of strategic measures have been implemented by government of different countries and international organization in order to grasp the opportunities and confronting the challenges. Confucius institute was founded and being developing at the background of globalization.The first Confucius Institute was founded in 2004 at South Korea. After that, more than 300 oversea Confucius Institute has been established at 81 countries. Although Confucius Institute developed rapidly in the last 7 years, it is still new project to most people, including the worldwide media. The domestic and foreign scholars take a wait-and-see attitude toward the developing of Confucius Institute. And little academic research is focused on the situation and the effect of the Confucius Institute."A day old pup does not fear tigers."The present article talked the background of Confucius Institute establishment, mainly focused on the globalization, and systematically investigated that current situation of the Confucius Institute project, especially about the great achievement and problem. This literature emphasizes that the construction and development of Confucius Institute should be coincidence with the mind of"building a harmonious society in China and harmonious world on the earth"suggested by the Chinese government. Combined with the"harmonious world"mind, we can understand the main value, driving force and the aim of Confucius Institute. A good understanding of the function of the platform, communication bridge and localization of Confucius Institute is important for its developing. Based on that, we proposed that the construction enhancement of Confucius Institute should focus on the cultural theme, communication, transmission and the organization management.In 2010 22nd Politburo Collective Study, Comrade Hu Jintao explicitly proposed "carefully build the brand of Chinese culture." The Confucius Institute is the first world's international culture brand that China launched to the world. In order to spread excellent Chinese culture to the international community continuously, promote the development of the world cultural diversity, and promote the construction of lasting peace, co-prosperity and harmonious world, we should further establish a sense of innovation, development and brand, conquer the challenges and seize the opportunities so as to achieve a new leap and sustainable development of the Confucius Institute.
