The concept of core self-evaluation proposed by the American psychologist Judge is a new approach of dispositional research,which has been acquired localized validation. Core self-evaluation includs self-esteem, generalized self-efficacy, emotional stability and locus of control. The relationship between these four aspects and internet dependence has been confirmed by numerous studies,but the relationship between core self-evaluation and network dependence has not been explored.Based on the literature review, the means , intent and situation of college students use the network has been investigated.The status of the network dependence is contrasted between College students and high school students. The development trend of network usage of students at different stages has been discussed. Relations among students core self-evaluation, mental health and network dependence have been explored. Group counseling intervention model of student network dependence correction with core self-evaluation has been proposed. The validity of this model was verified. Obtained the following conclusions:(1)Means of college students use network is diverse.Both computers and mobile phones are their main tools. Intent of college students use the network are wide,but the main purpose is entertainment.(2)In different gender, grade, professional categories and whether the only son core self-evaluation of college students were significant differences.But there are no significant differences between students from rural and urban.(3)There are no significant differences between junior and high school students.But networks dependence tend of college students is more serious than that of middle school students.(4) In different gender, grade there are significant differences in college students core self-evaluation.But in different professional categories , from rural or urban ,whether the only son there are no significant differences in college students core self-evaluation. In different gender, grade, professional categories , from rural or urban ,whether the only son there are no significant differences in college students mental health.(5)There are significant differences in core self-evaluation and mental health between students rely on networks and normal students.(6)Network dependence is negatively correlated with core self-evaluation and mental health. Core self-evaluation positively correlated with mental health. Core self-evaluation affects network dependence indirectly by mental health.(7) Using core self-evaluation group counseling intervention about college students network dependence is effective. The intervention effect has not diminished significantly over time.
