The Research About Kunshan And Taicang Writers In Ming Dynasty

As the research of literature in Ming Dynasty has been focusing on the novelist and dramatist for a long time,the study on the poems and essays should be strengthened on. During Ming Dynasty, many writers were gathering up in Jiangsu and Zhejiang areas. Especially Kunshan County and Taicang State are full of talents.Today there is no study on writers in Kunshan and Taicang Areas. The thesis will fill in the blanket.In order to supply materials and reference for the study of literature in these areas in Ming Dynasty, I want to made an overall and systematic study of writers in Kunshan and Taicang Areas of Ming Dynasty.Then the research on the poems and essays in Ming Dynasty can be developed.The thesis has five chapters with an exordium before the article.The first chapter introduces the writers within the period from Hong Wu to Jing Tai at the beginning of Ming Dynasty.There are Lu Xiong,Yuan Hua and Ye Sheng,etc. These writers are influenced by Gu Ying and Yang Weizhen.For literature in Kunshan inherited from that in the end of Yuan Dynasty,the literature was not very silent at the beginning of Ming Dynasty.The second chapter introduces the writers within the period from Tianshun to Zhende.There are Zhou Lun ,lu Rong and Gu Menggui,etc.In this Period,all styles of literature In Kunshan and Taicang are moderate.Just in the tenth year of Hongzhi, Taicang was divided from Kunshan and be founded.Then some writers like Zhang Tai appeared quickly,showing the wonderful situation.The third and fourth chapter focuses on the writers within the period from Jiajing to Wanli.The writers are Liang Chenyu,Gui Youguang and Wang Shizhen,etc.The period is the climax of literature in the region in Ming Dynasty.Poetry ,novels and dramas have come to a high tide and owe the representative writers.The thesis has used two chapters to talk about the writers in this period.The third talks about plays and essays;the fourth discusses poems.The fifth chapter introduces the writers within the period from Tancang to Chongzhen at the end of Ming Dynasty.The writers are Zhang Pu ,Zhang Cai and Gu Yanwu.Then Ming Dynasty had fallen.Those authors sang sad songs in the troubled times.Love for the mothercountry was the theme of Kunshan and Taicang's literature in the period.In one word,literature in Kunshan and Taicang in Ming Dynasty was developed and had its regional feature, showing how the literature circles developed and changed.Whether as to the number of writers or the quality of works,the literature in Kunshan and Taicang areas in Ming Dynasty is at the top of which in the whole country.There are two appendices at end,one is"kunshan and Taicang writers'biographies in Ming dynasty",and the other is"kunshan and Taicang writers'poem tales in Ming dynasty".This thesis employed the synthetic methods of combining the textual research with the argumentation and the temporal with the spatial, conducts an overall research on the literati throughout kunshan and Taicang Areas.And the thesis hopes to realize the position and role for literature in Kunshan and Taicang areas in the literature history in Ming Dynasty from above works.
