"What" is an important interrogative pronoun in contemporary Chinese language, its main use involves two major categories and six kinds, which includes interrogative and non- interrogative usage. In addition, because the diversity and flexibility of use, many student abroad do not very well in giving priority to this word, so it is also the focus and difficulty in foreign language teaching.On the basis of widespread concern in these basis research in the interrogative pronoun "what",fist give a detailed description to you, which includes its basic meaning and usage.And then its fact-finding. In order to highlight the comprehensive and wide-ranging fact-finding, we do a random sample of domestic and foreign students's articles, we call it fact-finding. The domestic text of fact-finding is divided into domestic style sampling and stylistic sampling. In stylistic aspects, we select three representational style, such as novel,prose and drama. In the same way,in style of writing aspects, we select body of colloquial and written book.Source corpus of fact-finding come from Chinese Linguistics Research Center of Peking University corpus system, that is, CCL online corpus retrieval system and the Beijing Language and Culture University Language Information Processing, Dynamic composition of the HSK corpus. We do a synthetically research, having the usage and grammatical function of what".In the national sample of the text, we combine meaning all aspect of teaching and grammatical function together in data collection,thenanalyse and compare. Followed in the study of status in foreign teaching, we introduce the 3P model and improve it, take it into all aspects of teaching then make task-based teaching.Finally,state the lake of this article and yet to improve. Hope for this text can provides some reference and learn to Chinese language for foreigners teaching, and have some help to improve the efficiency of teaching.
