Liu Xiang Compiled Lie-Nv Zhuan With Compilation Intention And Compilation Stratery

The book "Lie-Nv Zhuan" compiled by Liu Xiang who was the famous scholar in Han Dynasty is the first record of the life of a lot of women who lived in the from remote antiquity to Han Dynasty in our history.Ever since Liu Xiang compiled "Lie-Nv Zhuan",it has become standard in the writing of China's orthodox history to include a section devoted to woman's biographies under the same title.The paper is divided into five parts:Preface is brifly introduce about the research state of Lie-Nv Zhuan in the recent decades. Chapter one analyzes the influence of Liu Xiang's family,his politic experiences and academic background, which aims to discussed his compilation motive and writing ability about Lie-Nv Zhuan. Chapter two studies Lie-Nv Zhuan's historical background through ancient classics, which aims to discussed Liu Xiang's compilation stratery. Chapter three is to compare the same figures or events in Lie-Nv Zhuan with other books, which aims to analyze Liu Xiang's compilation strategies in Lie-Nv Zhuan. At last, I interpreted the significant influence and meaning of Lie-Nv Zhuan in the part of Conclusion of this paper.
