A Study On The Compilation Thought Of Archives And Documents In Shangshu

Shangshu is an early existing archives compilation in China,which has an important influence and significance on the compilation of archives and documents in China.The research on Shangshu can not only further expand the research scope and vision of archival literature compilation,but also further tap the value and role of Shangshu in the inheritance and development of Chinese civilization and the preservation of ancient archives and historical materials,and deepen the research on Shangshu.In this paper,through the following three parts,the author makes a systematic study on the compilation thought of archives and documents in Shangshu:The first part is the origin of Shangshu.This part describes the general situation of Shangshu.First of all,it summarizes the different versions formed in the process of convection transmission,introduces the reasons for the formation of different versions and makes a simple comparison;Then,it combs the debate about the status of ancient and modern literature and classics as well as the debate about the authenticity of Shangshu.The second part is the exploration of the compilation thought of Shangshu.Starting from the compilation process,this paper analyzes topics,titles,materials selection,textual research,and arrangement.First of all,it analyzes why Confucius compiled the book of history through personal and social factors,and then analyzes Confucius’ compilation ideas through the principles and methods used in various links,so as to excavate and summarize Confucius’ compilation thoughts of archives and documents.The third part is the reflection on the compilation thought of archives and documents in Shangshu.This paper analyzes and summarizes the historical limitations of the compilation thought of Shangshu and Its Enlightenment to the compilation of current archives and documents.Its limitations are mainly manifested in three aspects:the compilation intention,the selection of historical materials and the status of private compilation;the inspiration to the current compilation work mainly lies in the determination of the compilation theme,the combination of official and privatearchives,the content of historical materials and the compilation process.Through the summary of the limitation and experience of its compilation thought,the author hopes to make some contribution to the development of archival document compilation.
