BackgroundsZinc, iron, copper, calcium, magnesium and other metals are essential macro elements or trace elements, although not much content in the human body, but with human survival and health are closely related. Lead is a widely existing in the nature of human non-essential heavy metals, may to the airframe multiple systems and organ damage.Iron, zinc deficiency is a worldwide prevalence of nutritional problems, particularly in developing countries, iron deficiency problem of children and women has become more prominent. Our children mineral elements content status is also not optimistic, zinc, iron, calcium and other important mineral nutrients from lack of more common, children lead poisoning rate is higher. Changchun children mineral elements content is also present in low trend.Children are at one of life's most robust growth period, mineral elements as human of essential nutrients, in children's growth and development of each stage plays an important role. Children's body trace elements content can be influenced by many factors, such as health, diet and lifestyle habits, and human in the interaction between each element to wait, its shortage and overweight would give children's health effects. Since childhood demand of each element, the lack of mineral elements in children has become a common and serious social problems.Previous reports that changchun region children serum trace elements lack, but the relevant system study also is relatively rare. Therefore, the investigation of whole blood in children in Changchun, zinc, iron, copper, calcium, magnesium and lead element content and influencing factors, to guide the children a balanced diet, reasonable time required to supplement and regulate the body's mineral elements, to ensure their physical and mental health is important significance.PurposeUnderstand the whole blood in children in Changchun, zinc, iron, copper, calcium, magnesium and lead elements in the status quo, the lack of analysis of the elements related factors, to understand element shortage or overweight may cause disease, to guide the rational nutrition of children in Changchun elements and balance the content of each element, the lack of mineral elements proposed to provide a scientific basis for preventive measures.MethodsUsing convenience sampling method, extraction of 2009 August-2010 June Children's Hospital in Changchun City, Jilin Province Laboratory of trace elements of children 800 cases, aged≤14 years old, gender, the family seat is limitless. Zinc, iron, copper, calcium, magnesium, lead levels were detected by Beijing Optoelectronic Technology Co., Ltd. Bo Hui innovative development and production of BH5100S, BH2100T atomic absorption spectrometer. Uniform training by the investigators through the detection of trace elements for children of parents or my one on one interview questionnaires. Questionnaire include:the children themselves and their families the basic information that may affect the zinc, iron, copper, calcium, magnesium and lead elements in relevant factors, the children's history of present illness, perceived intelligence, zinc, iron, copper, calcium, magnesium and lead content. Epidata 3.02 software, a double entry building the database data, using SPSS13.0 software package for statistical data analysis. General characteristics of the study described, the measurement data using mean, median, standard deviation index, count data adoption rates, proportion index. Adoptχ2 inspection for classification variables each group distribution difference compared to elements, logistic regression model lack of related factors were analyzed.Results1. Trace Elements in Children's Hospital in Changchun accounted for 57.5% of male population, women account for 42.5%, the oldest 14 years old, minimum 0 years, mean 2.87 years, the Han nationality, accounting for 93.6%, the majority of urban children accounting for 72.5%. Family income of more than 2,000 yuan account for 45.8%.2. The child piddle or junk food 40.8%, frequently bite of children's toys make up 45.8%, often snacks of children account for 22.2%, everyday intake of dairy children make up 52.4%, often eat seafood children make up 26.6%, often eat eggs children make up 4.9%, often eat Fried foods egg children make up 19.5%, taking any mineral elements supplement of children and mother accounted for 70.0%,64.6%, breast-fed children make up, the average 6.36 a add 48.0% assist food.3. Zinc average 76.265μmol/L; iron average 8.188mmol/L; copper average 18.341μmol/L; calcium average 1.644mmol/L; magnesium average 1.563mmol/L; lead average 40.666μg/L. Zinc lack of highest rate of 25.63%, followed by calcium (20.38%), iron deficiency was 12.50%, only 2 cases of copper deficiency; zinc exceeded the 6 cases,4 cases of excessive calcium.4. The zinc, calcium, iron elements content difference of three kinds in different age groups with statistical significance. Zinc, iron content with the increase of age shows ascendant trend, the calcium content with the increase of age is downtrend. Different age groups between zinc, calcium, iron deficiency rate are statistically significant differences.0~1 age group and 5~14 years old group between zinc, calcium, iron deficiency rate are statistically significant differences.2~4 years old group and 5-14 years old group between calcium, zinc deficiency rate are statistically significant,2~4 years old group zinc rate is higher than 5~14 groups, calcium ratio on the contrary, iron deficiency rate 0-1 years old group is higher than 2~4 age groups. Gender difference between children copper elements content are statistically significant, men than women; other elements are not statistically significant.5. The impact of factors of iron deficiency are cesarean section (delivery mode) and drink milk every day, cesarean section is the children's iron lack of risk factors, iron deficiency drink milk every day is a protective factor for children; the lack of calcium or by the partial eclipse of fussy eaters, picky eaters or partial eclipse is a risk factor for calcium deficiency in children.Conclusion1.800 Children's copper, zinc, calcium, iron in varying degrees, the highest rate of zinc deficiency for 25.63%, followed by calcium, iron, lack of rate respectively 20.38% and 12.50%, copper deficiency is the lowest, only 0.25%, lead, magnesium all normal.2. Zinc deficiency rate, iron deficiency decreased growth rate with age; calcium deficiency rate gradually increased with increasing age. Copper content of men than women, and other elements no difference between genders.3. Cesarean section is a risk factor for children, iron deficiency, iron deficiency drink milk every day is a protective factor for children; fussy eaters or partial eclipse is a risk factor for calcium deficiency in children.
