To Investigate Clinical Features And Risk Factors Of Senile Degenerated Heart Valve Diseases

Objective: To study Clinical features and risk factors of senile degenerated heart valve diseases (SDHVD).Methods:The patients were divided into two groups:calcificated valve group and none-calcificated valve group,based on their echocardiograph.178 patients,including99males and79 females, averaging 71.36±6.023 of age, were calcificated valve group to compare with 182 age-matched who were none-calcificated valve group, including 94 males and 88 females, averaging 68.57±5.341 of age.Philips iE33-N equipment was used. To receive Doppler echocardiograph examination for an observation of the cardiac structure, function and valve condition especially valve calcification and valve regurgitation. EF was obtained by M-mode echocardiography. E/A was measured by pulsed Doppler echocardiography. Distribution analyses were made comparisons between the two groups:age,sex,hypertension, coronary heart disease, diabetes and hyperlipemia .A logistic regression analysis between the groups was also made to identify possible risk factors . Results:1 in 178 case of calcificated valve group, the incidence of mere aortic valve calcification is the highest, accounting for71.9%,simple valve insufficiency takes the highest proportion in valve dysfunction, accounting for64%;2.the incidence of simple left atrial enlargement, and E/A ratio is less than 1in calcificated valve group is larger than control group(P<0.05);atrial fibrillation, atria ventricular conduction block, is a significant difference between two group. 3.There is a significant difference between the two groups in age,smoking,hypertensionhyperlipemia,carotis artherosclerosis and TC concentration. Further logistic regression showed that age,smoking,hypertension,hyperlipemia may be the risk factors of SDHVD, the OR value are1.570,1.931,2.062,1.705,respectively. Conclusion: 1.Aortic valve is the predilection sites of SDHVD, valve insufficlency is very commom.2.SDHVD usually combined with left atrial enlargement, diastolic heart failure, atrial fibrillation, atria ventricular conduction block.3.Age,smoking,hypertension and hyperlipemia may be the risk factors of SDHVD.
