Objective To analyze the correlative factors of senile degenerated heart valvular diseases(≥60 years of age) and their correlation by 2-DE,M-mode and pulsed Doppler echocardiography, and besides, to study further the possible risk factors of senile degenerated heart valvular diseases. Methods The patients were divided into two groups: calcificated valve group and none-calcificated valve group, based on their echocardiograph. Sixty-seven patients, including 30 males and 37 females, averaging 72.64±8.56 of age, were calcificated valve group to compare with 73 age-matched who were none-calcificated valve group, including 39 males and 34 females ,averaging 67.62±6.43 of age. American HPSonos1000 equipment was used. To receive Doppler echocardiographic examination for an observation of the cardiac structure, function and valve condition especially valvular calcification and valvular regurgitation. EF was obtained by M-mode echocardiography. E/A was measured by pulsed Doppler echocardiography. Distribution analyses were made comparisons between the two groups concerning seven relative risk factors: age, sex, hypertension, coronary heart disease, diabetes, osteoporosis and hyperlipemia A logistic regression analysis between the groups was also made to identify possible risk factors and their powers on the prevalence of senile degenerated heart valvular diseases.
