With an increasingly intensive reforms in China, our hospital as well as the medical industries are facing the unprecedented opportunities and challenges. Such incidents occurring successively as "SARS"," Frozen Disaster" and "the Earthquake in Wenchun" have brought health care into the public concerns. The development concept theory, rapid economic development and enlarged investment in health care make it possible for us to meet a golden chance in the medical reform and development. However with the permission of all kinds of medical institutions into the medical market, hospitals have to face more and more pressures of the competitions from the same industries. At present it is very important that high-level administrators consider how to drive hospitals in long-term stable and sustainable development. Therefore it is a cornerstone of hospitals'survival and development to work out hospitals'developing strategy based on science, objectives, truth and practice.In the paper we analyzed and designed the future developing strategy for Liaoning cancer Hospital in accordance with combined modern strategic development theory and the basic concepts of companies'analysis and choices, strategic planning and assessment, and practice and control in the companies'strategic development.Firstly, we introduced modern strategic management theory and analyzed the construction of the companies'strategic system, scientific procedures in the strategic management and the importance of carrying out strategic management, which provided a solid theoretical foundation in working out the strategic development. Secondly, we systemically analyzed the hospital's internal and external environment, revealed the chance and threat that the hospital was facing though invesgating the macro environment and medical market, and suggested the hospital's favorable and unfavorable situation, based on the thorough analysis of the organizations, human resources management, main business, science and technology management, financial management, hospital's culture and so on. Thirdly, we used'SWOT'to summarize the chance of development and challenges, favorable and unfavorable situation, which was considered to be a scientific basis for designing and carrying out the developing strategy. Lastly, according to what we analyzed above, the hospital's strategic objectives and overall strategies were made and the systemic concept and measures were raised in carrying out the strategy.The paper shows that what we presented here is of great value to the future development of the hospital and may be a reference to the medical industries in developing strategic management and starting concerned business.
