Strategy management is a dynamic management process of a company, from thedefinition and selection of effective strategy through the implementation, control andevaluation of the strategy, on the basis of fully analysis of the internal and externalenvironment of the company for sustainable development. Nowadays, with more complexenvironment and fiercer competition, strategy management plays an even more important rolein the business administration as an activity of corporate senior management.The General Hospital of Huabei Petroleum Administration Bureau (hereinafter referredto as"GHHPAB") is an extra large-sized grade-three A polyclinic subordinate to CNPCintegrating medical treatment, scientific research, teaching, prevention and health care,targeting at"the international first-class modern hospital featuring strong corecompetitiveness". Along with China's entry into WTO and economic globalization, Chinesemedical market is open to the world gradually. Merge into international industry poses newchallenges as well as provides new opportunities to the operation of the GHHPAB. GHHPABwill face fierce medical market competition joined by international and domestic big names;to make things even worse, it still lags behind the hospitals from developed western countriesin terms of strategy and management, technology and human resource, market and brandpopularity. Therefore, how to promote the competitiveness of GHHPAB and what operationstrategy should be adopted to fulfill the objective of GHHPAB become two urgent issues tobe addressed.The dissertation uses SWOT analytical method to work out and propose the modernoperation strategy through analyzing the external environment and conditions of medicalindustry on the basis of finding the strengths of GHHPAB, improving its weaknesses, makinguse of external chances and avoiding external risks. As a conclusion, I recommend to givepriority to brand building and HR development strategy. In the elaboration of brand buildingstrategy, there are outlines, orientation, promotion and cultivation of the said strategy. In HRdevelopment strategy chapter, there are career design, training strategy and achievementevaluation strategy matching such a modern company as GHHPAB.
