Objectives:To observe the clinical effects and securities in treating chronic cholecystitis with liver and gallbladder damp heat by applying the method of Qing Li Hepatobiliary.Methods:This research was based on 65 cases of outpatients with liver and gallbladder damp heat from the clinic of the hospital attributed to TCM of Jiangsu province. They were divided into two groups. One group was the treatment group,35 patients of which were treated with Qing Li Hepatobiliary Fang. The other group was the control group, with 30 patients being treated with Jindan tablets.These patients all met the TCM diagnosis criterion. Both groups were treated for four weeks. Clinical symptoms' changes before and after treatment were detected respectively to evaluate the therapeutic effects.Results:After one course of treatment, significant difference was apparent in the clinical effects:In the treatment group,5 cases recovered and 9 cases significantly improved,15 cases improved,3 ineffectual cases. The total effective rate in the treatment group is 90.63%.In the control group,O case recovered and 4 cases significantly improved,17 cases improved,9 ineffectual cases. The total effective rate in the control group is 70%. There was statistically significant difference in the total effective rate between the treatment group and control guoup (P=0.002).The effective rate from the treatment group is clearly superior.Conclusions:Above all, Qing Li Hepatobiliary appears to have the significant effect in the treatment of chronic cholecystitis with liver and gallbladder damp heat.
