Objective:This study by comparing the pure tone threshold test results of different age groups of patients with presbycusis, understands the influence of age on hearing and lets the presbycusis of matching hearing aids complet the questionnaires—(the Satisfaction with Amplification in Daily Life, SADL) and (the international outcome items for hearing aids,ⅠOⅠ-HA), to assess the effect of the questionnaires targeted to solve problems encountered in the questionnaires use and improve the quality life of the older persons. Methods:Randomly selected the presbycusis of matching hearing aids who come to the General Hospital of Tianjin Medical University, these presbycusis are older than 60 years, totally 55 persons, and are divided into two groups by age:group(1):60-70 years old,group(2):>70 years old. Before matching the hearing aids, these presbycusis accept the test of pure tone audiometry and get the curve for pure tone audiometry. After 3 weeks and 3 months, they return to have a visit to General Hospital of Tianjin Medical University; during each visit, through face to face way to enable patients to complete the questionnaires of SADL andⅠOⅠ-HA. The issues raised in patients are answered by professional staff of matching hearing aid,At last the presbycusis pure tone curve and questionnaire scores are analyzed. Results:The average hearing threshold of the presbycusis whoes age over of 70 years are higher than 70 years and below;statistical analysis of the SADL andⅠOⅠ-HA questionnaires, the questionnaires results obtained in the presbycusis whoes satisfaction with the optional, benefit level are relatively large, and the degree of satisfaction and benefits continue to improve with time, but are not related by the age degrees.Conclusion:1. Presbycusis patients whose frequency pure tone audiometry increased with age and high frequency increased significantly than low-frequency hearing threshold; the greater of the age the greater of the hearing loss in all frequencies.2.. by filling out the two questionnaires of the SADL andⅠOⅠ-HA, the Presbycusis' satisfaction and benefit of different ages increased with different wearing time, and the age and degree of hearing loss did not effect the result of satisfaction and benefit level.
