The Relation Between Wind-heat Invasion Syndrom And Qi-stagnancy And Blood Stasis With Pure Tone Audiometry, Auditory Brainstem Response On Sudden Hearing Loss

Objective:to explore the relation between Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) syndrome type and audiometric change by analyzing the difference of pure tone audiometry,auditroy brainstem response on sudden hearing loss(SHL) with different TCM syndeom type. (wind-heat invasion,qi-stagnancy and blood stasis)Methods:A total of 60 in-patients or out-patients with sudden hearing loss were selected from our Hospital between January 2009 and December 2009.They were assinged into 2 basic types:wind-heat invasion and qi-stagnancy and blood stasis. Pure tone audiometry and auditroy brainstem respone were carried out on all people above.The date inwestigated was analyzed with spss13.0 for windows.Results:60 cases with SHL were selected,including 30 (30 ears)case of wind-heat invasion syndrom,30(33 ears) case of qi-stagnancy and blood stasis syndrom.There were significant difference between two groups on the value of average air conduct audibility threshold.To compara degree of hearing loss,degree of patients in type of wind-heat invasion was commonly moderate-mild and moderate;However,gegree of qi-stagnancy and blood stasis were lightly severe and severe.To compara figures of hearing loss,patients in types of wind-heat invasion had high-frequent shap and flat shap;However,patients in type of qi-stagnancy and blood stasis had flat shap. There were significant difference between two groups on response threshold of ABR. Comparaed with qi-stagnancy and blood stasis, degree of patients in type of wind-heat invasion was lower.There were non-significant difference between two groups on the latency and the interpeak lanteney of waveâ… ,â…¢,â…¤.Conclusion:There were significant difference on SHL with differrant TCM syndrome type on degree and figures of hearing loss.It made it possible for syndrome differentiation by the way of combining western medicine with TCM.
