Objective:To Objective To investigate the proportion of incidence of children with nonspecific chronic cough and analyze the characteristics of etiology during the followup. Method:The children of selected reference"guideline" diagnostic procedure, first determine whether for specific coughing or nonspecific cough and further according to cough characteristics, auxiliary examination, treatment response analysis such as etiology, the patients were followed up during the second week, the fourth week and twelfth week.dynamically diagnosis, and then, etiology statistics. Result:223 cases of effective cases, etiology distribution in turn for PIC 77 cases (34.5%), CVA 63 patients (28.2%), UACS 56 patients (25.1%), AC 8 patients (3.6%), GERC 5 patients (42.2%), congenital malformation of respiratory tract,4 patients (1.8%), psychogenic cough 4 patients (1.8%), otogenic cough 3 patients (1.3%), foreign body inhaled 1 patient (0.5%), unknown etiology in 2 patients (0.9). In the<3 years old group, before three etiology respectively PIC (34/66 51.5%), UACS (14/6621.2%), CVA (7/66 10.6%); 3-6 years old age before three etiology respectively:PIC(26/68 38.2%), CVA(17/68 25.0%), UACS(16/6823.5%); > 6 age group respectively before three causes CVA (39/89 43.8), UACS (26/89 29.2%), PIC (17/89 19.1%). Each age etiology constitute distribution not completely the same (P< 0.05). etiology constitute distribution difference was statistically significant (P> 0.017). between< 3 years old and 3-6 years old; Etiology constitute have distribution difference between< 3 years old and> 6 years old,3-6 years old (P<0.017). Ethnic etiology constitute distribution not completely the same (P<0.05). The han and other ethnic groups, uygur with other ethnic groups, there were no statistically significant differences (P>0.017); Han and Uighur etiology constitute distribution difference was statistically significant (P<0.017). Etiology constitute distribution was statistically significant in different gender (P<0.05). Conclusion:223 cases of effective cases, etiology distribution in turn for PIC 77 patients (34.5%),CVA 63 patients (28.2%), UACS 56 patients (25.1%), AC 8 patients (3.6%), GERC 5 patients (42.2%), congenital malformation of respiratory tract 4 patients (1.8%), psychogenic cough 4 patients (1.8%), otogenic cough 3 patients (1.3%), foreign body inhaled 1 patient (0.5%), unknown etiology 2 patients (0.9). In different age, different nationalities, different gender constitute distribution are not the same.
