Clinic Study Of Pathogeny And Therapeutic Methods Of Child With Chronic Cough

Objective: 1. To study the valid therapeutic methods by analyzing the pathogeny of child with chronic cough and using the combine of differentiation of syndromes and diseases; 2. To indicate the agility in way and the value in curative effect of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) treating chronic cough by comparing the curative effect between the therapy of TCM and the conventional therapy of Western medicine.Methods: 1. 60 cases with CC choiced randomly were diagnosticated in pathogeny definitely and divided into control group and traditional Chinese drug treated(TCDT) group randomly, each for 30.Control group was treated by conventional Western medicine and TCDT group was treated following syndromes under the base of the prescriptions.2. The change of symptoms were recorded twice a week for 4 weeks.Mainly observed: (1) the status of cough; (2) the quantity of sputum; (3) simultaneous phenomenon and related laboratory index.Results: 1.In these 60 cases with CC, were caused by cough variant asthma, Mycoplasma pneumonia infection, postnasal drip syndrome, gastro-esophageal reflux;2 .The valid control rate of TCDT group was higher than that of control group(p<0.01) and the difference was significant;the valid control time between the two groups the former was much less than that of the latter(p<0.01).3 months followed,the curative effect of TCDT group was stable and the recrudescence ratewas lower than that of control group(11.5% VS 54%).Conclusions: 1. The curative effect of determination of treatment based on differentiation of syndromes by TCM, obviously outweighed that of the conntrol group.2.Regarding the pathogeny diagnosis and the combination of differentiation of syndromes and diseases to avoid diagnosing and treating by accident ,which can affect it's prognosis and transform.3.Using therapeutic methods of TCM neatly and compatibility of herbal ingredients properly to improve the curative effectARegulating flow of qi and strengthening spleen run though from the beginning to the end.The symptoms and root cause are simultaneously treated.Dealing with problems arising from an accident and consolidating the curative effect to prevent recrudescing.
