Objective:To investigate the correlation between hyperuricemia and the urinary calculi. Methods:The blood samples were collected in 2008 from civil servants working in Urumqi for serum uricacid level detection. There were 575 Han people, made health examination in this hospital. To analyse the incidence of hyperuricemia in those people, and make a follow-up study of the patients with hyperuricemia, and then to make a analysis of the associativity between the incidence of urinary calculi and hyperuricemia treated regularly. At last, making a scientific analysis according to the Principle of Statistics. Results:In 2008,161 people were fond with the disease of hyperuricemia among 575 people, the incidence of the disease was 28%.10 people was detected with the disease of urinary calculi in 90 patients with hyperuricemia, the incidence was 11.11%.There were 16 people with calculus among 409 normal people in next two years, the incidence of the disease was 3.91%, the diffence between the two groups had statistical significance (P<0.05). There were 2 patitents detected with urinary calculi in 71 patients with hyperuricemia being treated regularly, the incidence of the disease was 2.82%, the diffence between the two groups had statistical significance(P<0.05). Conclusion:There were positive correlation between hyperuricemia and the formation of urinary calculi. Hyperuricemia was a risk factor for the development of urinary calculi. It is significant for reducing the incidence of urinary calculi to think highly of early diagnosis and prompt treatment of hyperuricemia, and make a control of the level of the blood uric acid.
