Objective:To detect interleukin -2 (IL-2) content in the variation of Phaco surgery, and to study the mechanism of IL-2 factor in the dry eye after surgery. Methods:Collected January to June during 2010 economic Changzhi Medical College and Hospital of cataract surgery in 78 cases, all patients by the same person phacoemulsification cataract surgery with intraocular lens implantation (Phaco+IOL), are routinely given after tobramycin/dexamethasone (Code will be comfortable) eye drops. According to the diagnostic criteria of dry eye, all patients 2 weeks after surgery were divided into two groups:Group 1 Department of dry eye patients; 2 group is non-dry eye patients. All patients were before surgery, 2 weeks,4 weeks followed by the line of tear film break up time (break-up time BUT), Schirmer test (Schirmer testâ… ), corneal fluorescein staining (Fluorescein staining of cornea, CFL). Check the eyes of three patients were measured three times, averaged as the final result. All checked by the same physician on the same dark room, dark, quiet room without wind, temperature and humidity conditions. Respectively, before and after 2 weeks,4 weeks after surgery in patients taking tear, with the double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) detection of IL-2 concentration in tears, the use of statistical software SPSS 13.0 the data for statistical analysisResults:dry eye patients in the postoperative 2 weeks,4 weeks compared with the preoperative tear film break up time shortened, lower basal tear secretion and corneal staining increased integration, the difference was statistically significant (all p<0.01). dry eye patients 4 weeks after surgery and after 2 weeks compared to an increase of tear film break up time, increased basal tear secretion, corneal staining points lower, the difference was statistically significant (all p<0.01). non-dry eye patients 2 weeks after surgery compared with preoperative tear film break up time, basal tear secretion, corneal staining points are returned to preoperative levels, the difference was not statistically significant (all p>0.05). Difference between the two groups was statistically significant (p<0.01).dry eye patients in the postoperative 2 weeks,4 weeks after surgery compared with before surgery, tear of IL-2 content increased, a significant difference, the difference was statistically significant (p<0.01). non-dry eye patients after 2 weeks,4 weeks before surgery compared with IL-2 content of tears in the return to preoperative levels, the difference was not statistically significant (p>0.05). Difference between the two groups was statistically significant (p<0.01).Conclusion: 1) Phaco appear dry eye symptoms in some patients after surgery in earlier period.2) IL-2 expression in patients with dry eye increased, suggesting that IL-2 in the pathogenesis of dry eye may play a role.
