Objectives:To explore the psychosocial health,emotional status and its factors among the women accepted IVF-ET in maternal and child health hospital reproductive center of Hunan, to analyze the factors of anxiety among these women with treatment failure, and to provide the scientific besis for psychological intervention model of women undergoing In-Vitro Fertilization and Embryo Transfer treatment.Methods:Based on the screening criteria,538 IVF-ET women from maternal and child health hospital reproductive center of Hunan were selected during April,2009 and March,2010. The main contents included:general conditions, fertility conditions, therapeutic conditions, psychosocial conditions, emotional status. We adopted on-site questioning way within 2 hours after embryo transfer. The conditions of IVF-ET women were described using mean, SD, rate and constituent ratio. The social demographic characteristics of women with different outcomes were compared using chi-square test and t test in order to analyze the factors influencing anxiety and depression. The Ordinal logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the factors influencing anxiety and depression of the IVF-ET women.Results:1. The social demographic characteristics:The average age of respondents (n=538) was 30.44±4.35; marital duration was 6.40±4.02 years; women with high school degree were 47.96%; Farmers were 25.28% and individual business were 20.27%; Those living in countries were 58.74%.2. The evalluation of anxiety and depression conditions:The anxiety and depression conditions of the IVF-ET women were measured within 2 hours after embryo transfer using SAS and SDS. The anxiety score was 39.64±3.09; and positive rate of anxiety symptoms was 38.48%. The depression score was 35.81±4.54; and positive rate of depression symptoms was 12.27%.3. The factors influencing anxiety and depression: Multiple logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the factors. Place of residence, duration of infertility, couples communication, positive coping, physiological health and mental health were the factors influencing anxiety of the IVF-ET women. Previous treatment costs, the number of taken egg, sexual life, positive coping and life events were the factors influencing depression of the IVF-ET women.4. The influence of anxiety and depression on treatment outcomes: The anxiety and depression score of pregnancy group was lower than that of non-pregnancy group, with the same condition in positive rate. Ordinal logistic regression analysis showed that anxiety emotion influenced the treatment outcome of the IVF-ET women. The pregnancy chance of anxiety group is 0.605 times that of non-anxiety group. After controlling age and marital duration, anxiety emotion also influenced the treatment outcome. And the pregnancy chance of anxiety group is 0.645 times that of non-anxiety group.5. The factors influencing anxiety of the women with treatment failure The Ordinal logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the factors (Backward Ward method,ain=0.05,aout= 0.10). Family income, previous treatment duration, couples communication and mental health were the factors influencing anxiety of the women with treatment failure.Conclusions:1. The positive rate of anxiety symptoms is 38.48%. The positive rate of depression symptoms is 12.27% among the women accepted IVF-ET.2. Women undering IVF-ET theatment who living in the city, infertility duration> 5 years,less couples communication, negative coping, less Physiological and psychological function scores are more prone to anxiety; The women undering IVF-ET threatment who past more cost of treatment, oocyte number≤4 eggs, less Sex life scores, negative coping, higher life events scores are more prone to depression.3. Anxiety emotion influenced the treatment outcome of the IVF-ET women. The anxiety and depression score of pregnancy group is lower than that of non-pregnancy group, with the same condition in positive rate.Women with failure IVF-ET treatment who have less family income, longer treatment time less couples communication, lower mental health scores are more prone to anxiety.
