The Variation And Association Research Of Th1/Th2 Cytokine In Different Constitutions Of Perennial Allergic Rhinitis

Objective:To explore the distributional regularity of Th1/Th2 cytokine in different constitutions of perennial allergic rhinitis by experiment, so as to providing scientific reference of prevention and cure this disease by Chinese medicine.Methods:30 patients with qi deficiency AR,30 patients with yang deficiency AR and 30 controls were included in the study. Then we test the Th1/Th2 cytokines by using ELISA.Results:The level of Th1 cytokines (it is IL-2) was greatly depressed in every AR group than control group(P<0.05);The level of Th2 cytokines(it is IL-13) was greatly increased in AR group than control group (P<0.05). The level of IL-2 in qi deficiency AR was lower and IL-13 was higher than yang deficiency AR(P>0.05).Conclusions:Th1 cytokines (it is IL-2) was depressed and Th2 cytokines (it is IL-13) was increased in patients with AR. However Th1/Th2 unbalance is not relation of qi deficiency AR and yang deficiency AR. Because we just observe two kinds of constitutions (deficiency of qi and deficiency of yang). So we should observe more constitutions to explore the distributional regularity of Th1/Th2 cytokine. Guiding by the theories, we further carried a study on the conditions of different constitutions allergic rhinitis and analyzed its distributional regularity to find out the common features so as to providing scientific reference of cure AR.
