Objective: To understand the status of medical students achievement motivation; use appropriate statistical methods reveal the medical graduate achievement motivation and personality, self-efficacy, self-esteem and social support in relationships.Method: 232 full-time graduate students in the first, second and third year students are extracted from a Medical University Through stratified random sampling. Access to their achievement motivation, personality, self-efficacy and other information on the status of; the use of descriptive statistics, single factor analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, principal component regression analysis, factor analysis, meta analysis, statistical methods, revealed postgraduate medical achievement motivation and its related social and psychological factors and to compare the relationship between medical students and non-medical university students of different achievement motivation. The use of meta analysis of achievement motivation of college students, the average level, as compared with medical students based on achievement motivation.Results: The survey total of 221 valid questionnaires, the survey of medical students motivation to succeed (Ms) an average score of 38.90±5.65, to avoid failure (Mf), the average score was 36.16±5.39, the total score of achievement motivation ( Ms-Mf) was 2.74±3.53. that medical students have strong desire to succeed, positive efforts for the success of efforts to pay the appropriate; to avoid failure, the average score was significantly higher than the norm of college students (male: 26.56±7.89; F:29.42±6.97). Multiple linear regression showed that self-efficacy and social support of medical postgraduate level of achievement motivation factors. Principal component analysis and factor analysis showed that the psychological and behavioral characteristics of medical students, including self-esteem, self-efficacy, social support and personality of these factors can explain most of the variation. Structural equation model analysis showed that self-esteem, self-efficacy, social support and personality are all these areas have a direct impact achievement motivation, and family location, gender and age both of these factors directly affect the level of achievement motivation can also indirectly The adoption of self-esteem, self-efficacy to influence the way the size of achievement motivation.Conclusion: Medical students'motivation to succeed compared with the mom there were no significant differences in the motivation to avoid failure was significantly higher than the general institution of the students, achievement motivation compared to the total score is lower than the usual school students. The use of various statistical methods that can fully explore the data analysis, the study provides some mental health issues better way.
