ObjectiveAs the incidence of type 2 diabetes increases day by day and the hazards of its complications to people's life are worsening, early prevention and treatment of type 2 diabetes get more and more attention. More and more studies have shown that Chinese medicine has greate advantage on the early stage of diabetes prevention and cure. Many kinds of Chinese medicine such as the ones can boosting qi, nourishing yin, invigorating blood, clearing dry heat, can not only ameliorate insulin resistance, but also play a positive and special role in renewing islet cells, repairing and protectingβcells, and curing complication.Professor Fan has rich clinical experience of treating diabetes and experience of scientific research. He sumed up special "Fan Surname movement and immovable sequential therapy" to treat diabetes and its complication. This had got good curative effect in early observation. This study used "Fan Surname movement and immovable sequential therapy" to treat type 2 diabetes, in order to observe the clinical curative effect, also compared with the group which used western medicine. The significance of this study is to further confirm the curative effect in treating type 2 diabetes by Chinese medicine, and help improve the prevention program of type 2 diabetes treating by Chinese medicine.MethodThe study used random and contrastive method.60 patients accorded with standards were divided into two guoups by random, among these patients, the Chinese medicine group(30 cases) was treated by pure Chinese medicine based on "Fan Surname movement and immovable sequential therapy", the western medicine group(30 cases) was treated by Metformin Hydrochloride Sustained-release Tablets. Twelve-week was a course of treatment.ResultsBoth "Fan Surname movement and immovable sequential therapy" and Metformin Hydrochloride Sustained-release Tablets could abate blood sugar and HbAlc of the patients obviously, the difference was insignificant compared to the control group(P<0.01). "Fan Surname movement and immovable sequential therapy" could ameliorate the clinical symptoms and blood fat of the patients obviously, the difference was significant compared to the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion"Fan Surname movement and immovable sequential therapy" has sure curative effect in treating type 2 diabetes. It is worth generalizing further.
