Clinic Reseach On Jin Three Needle Treat Migraine Without Previous Signs

AimMigraine without previous signs is a recurrent throbbing headache on one side or both sides, with nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light, sound and blurred vision. It is a clinical common and frequently-occurring disease, which belongs to Chinese medicine "migraine Wind", "migraine", "brain wind", "headache" category.Modern medicine for the etiologies of migraine is not fully understood, the existing research results that may be related genetic, endocrine disorders and metabolic disorders. Migraine is a complex pathophysiological process, and currently its etiologies mainly including blood vessels theory, trigeminal nerve and blood vessel theory, cortical spreading inhibition theory and brain neuronal excitability theory. Mental stress, poor sleep, climate change, mental stimulation, alcohol consumption and vasodilator so on, are migraine triggers.Traditional Chinese medicine as early as "Emperor after" era had began to record and describe migraine in more detail. Through later constant improvement, its etiologies are mainly believed by wind staying on top of the head, dysfunctional organs, blood stasis stagnating channel. Chinese medicine treatment methods varied. Clinical reports are numerous and with quite different effects. Temporal three-pin is one of the three-pin prescription proposed by Professor Jin Rui, Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. It mainly cure for paralyzing stroke, migraine, a traditional acupuncture methods in the local, near acupoints. Accordingly, we select temporal three-pin treatment of migraine without previous signs in this research, and in contrast with the method of conventional selecting points. MethodWe selected 61 clinical research cases randomly divided into two groups, 31 cases of temporal three-pin, temporal three acupuncture points; the control group,30 cases of bilateral acupuncture Feng-Chi, Bai-Hui, ipsilateral Tai-Yang, Shuai-Gu. We cured 6 times for one course, a total of 2 courses, 2 days off between courses, then observed pain intensity and pain duration.Result1.After the treatment, both group decreased in pain score compared with before, difference has statistic meaning (P<0.05), suggest that both method worked;after the treatment, treatment group compared with control group, difference has great statistic meaning (P<0.05), suggest that Jin three needle works better.2. After the treatment, both group decreased in the average time of pain score compared with before, difference has statistic meaning (P<0.01), suggest that both method can reduce the time of pain; treatment group compared with control group, difference has great statistic meaning (P<0.05)3. The total effective rate for treatment group is 95.2%, and 90% for control group, treatment group is better than control group, difference has statistic meaning.The results showed that pain scores were significantly decreased, and the average total time of pain decreased. The total effective rate reached 90% or more in these two groups; through the comparison, temporal three-pin can better relieve pain and reduce pain time than ordinary acupuncture.ConclusionUsing temporal three-pin acupuncture to cure migraine without previous signs is better than ordinary acupuncture.
