Clinical Observation On Curing The LIDP Patients Through Electro-Acupuncture With External-application Of Bitong Powder

ObjectivesTo observe the clinical therapeutic effect on curing the LIDP patients through through electro-Acupuncture with external-application of Bitong Powder, it has important and practical significance in exploring a new therapeutic method clinically which is safe, easily operated and definitely effected.MethodsA total of 60 LIDP patients in acute stage were randomly divided into treatment group with 31 patiens and control group with 29 patients. The control group patients were treated with electro-acupuncture, while the treatment group patients were given external-application of Bitong Powder additionally, five times a week, three weeks a course of treatment. JOA scale and VAS scale were observed before and after the treatment to evaluate the therapeutic effect.ResultThere was no statistics-difference between the two groups, including age, gender, score of VAS-scale and JOA-scale, all of them recorded before the treatment(P>0.05).1. After the therapy, the treatment group had a cured & significant improved rate of 70.97%, and a total effective rate of 96.77%, and 9 cases were cured,13 cases were significant improved,8 cases were improved,1 case had no effect. The control group had a cured & significant improved rate of 44.83%, and a total effect rate of 86.27%, and 4 cases were cured,9 cases were significant improved,12 cases were improved,4 cases had no effect. The effect of two groups had significant difference.2. The VAS and JOA evaluation of two groups were both promoted, while the effect of the treatment group was much better than the control group in therapeutic effect.ConclusionAfter three weeks treatment, The method of electro-Acupuncture with external-application of Bitong Powder had positive effects on LIDP patients. It improved the quality of life at the same time. Besides, the curative effect was superior to the control group.
