Clinical Observation On The Therapeutic Effect Of Shenggu Pill On Promoting Fracture Healing Of The Intertrochanteric Fractures Of Femur DHS Treated

ObjectiveThe aim of the study was to verify clinical observation on the therapeutic effect of Shenggu Pill on promoting fracture healing of the intertrochanteric fractures of femur treated by DHS, and confer the mechanism of them through comparison study of callus growth of the fracture Part, TCM symptoms and clinical observation.MethodsSixty-five Patients with closed and fresh fracture of distal radius were selected from Xinhui TCM Hospital from April 2009 to February 2011. After the intertrochanteric fractures of femur treated by DHS, the Patients were randomly divided into two groups, one for treatment group which was treated by Shenggu Pill, the other for control group which was treated by Qinggu Capsule. The treatment Periods of two groups were both 8 weeks. TCM symptoms, clinical observation and callus growth of the fracture part would be observed after treating.Results1. The treatment group got better effort on callus growth of the fracture Part from the 8th week;2. TCM symptoms on the two groups compared to the 4th,8th weeks were significant different, suggesting that Shenggu Pill can much better improve the TCM symptoms of blood stasis and liver and kidney deficiency;3. Two groups were effective in clinical effect of the fracture Part both, however the treatment group was better than the control group;4. There were no differences in blood, urine and stool routines, heart, liver and kidney functions before or after the treatment of Shenggu Pill, and allergic and adverse reaction did not occur during treatment.Conclusion1. Blood-quickening and pain-relieving, stasis-dispilling and new-engendering, bone and sinew-joining are the legislative principles of Shenggu Pill;2. Shenggu Pill can promote analgesia, detumescence and fracture healing;3. Shenggu Pill was better than Qinggu Capsule.
