Chest CT Performance And Clinical Application In Pediatric Lung Disease

Objective: To explore the value of clinical application of the spiral CT examination in pediatric chest lung disease.Methods: The children who hospitalized in department of pediatrics because of lung disease from 2007 july to 2010 july for complicated or severe cases and repeated respiratory infections with spiral CT examination, simultaneously with X-ray results were compared.Results: All the 119 cases were diagnosed, Spiral CT findings of positive change, diagnostic accuracy and sensitivity, comprehensiveness in lung disease were significantly higher than with X-ray examination results.Conclusion: Spiral CT examination has a significant advantage than chest X-ray examination in diagnosis of pediatric lung disease for it can improve the diagnostic accuracy rate of lung lesions and disease.
