BackgroundThe mammary gland inflammatory disorders, which can be divided into lactational mastitis and non-lactational mastitis according to functional status, is about 1/4 of the breast diseases in the same period. In recent years, with the spread of the pregnancy and health's knowledge, the morbidity of non-lactational mastitis is increasing contrary to the downward trend of the morbidity of lactational mastitis. With the rise of modern standard of living and the ascending of female social status, more and more people concern to women's health problems. The morbidity of female breast disease is rising with the fierce social competition and the aggravating environmental pollution. Non-lactational mastitis is a benign breast disease, but it, frequently, is misdiagnosed because of its complexes clinical presentation, especially difficult to identify with the breast cancer. It causes great harm to patients because mistakenly adopted the breast simple excision or radical operation of mastocarcinoma. In recent years, with the increasing patients of non-lactational mastitis, the maturity of diagnostic criteria and the advanced diagnostic conditions, the misdiagnosis rate has declined significantly, but the treatment is still no unified recognition. Not timely or improperly treatment makes the disease recurrently attacks and takes a long course.and it affects the appearance of the breast because of the damage. Due to the wide range of inflammation, a small number fo patients has to be taken simple mastectomy witch causes great physical and psychological harm on the patients and makes a serious impact on the quality of life. It is the urgent affairs of the majority of patients and medical workers to seek the treatment for non-lactational mastitis precisely and effectively. ObjectiveWith the analyses and studies of the literature and the clinical cases, it was to explore the study strategies, summarize the clinical challenges, perform the advantages of the acupuncture and get a satisfactory method hence shorten the therapeutic course and improve the clinical efficacy, which consequently provides references for the clinical treatment of non-lactational mastitis.MethodsAll the 60 cases were from the rehabilitation and external medicine out-patient and in-patient departments, Affiliated Shenzhen hospital of Peking University, from June,2010 to April,2011. With the inclusive and exclusive criteria, all the 60 cases were simply randomized into treatment group (with warming needling therapy) and control group (with western medicine therapy). With the statistical management of the SPSS 13.0, the conclusion was summarized.ResultsAfter 3 therapeutic courses, the total effective rates were 93.3% in the treatment group and 83.3% in the control group. With the statistical management, it indicated that it was better in the treatment group than that in the control group. The warming needling therapy could effectively treat the swollen, pain and redness of the breast during the swollen period among the non-lactational mastitis patients, which effects in treating the swollen was better than the combination of hormone and antibiotics.ConclusionCompared with the western medicine administration, the warming needling therapy has the good therapeutic effects in treating the swollen among the non-lactational mastitis patients, which could remarkably improve the clinical effects and was better than that in the western medicine group.
