Objectivewe evaluate the curative effect of holed cauterized needling therapy on acute mastitis by way of investigating clinical data of people with acute mastitis to approach the benefit of cauterized needling therapy compared to traditional cut-off therapy. Methodwe design the practical clinical observation descriptive chart, collect the clinical data of 52 cases of acute mastitis and put these data into the descriptive chart, and then we summarize and analyze the data with statistical software. ResultAmong the 52 cases of acute mastitis, 42 cases are treated with cauterized needling therapy (therapy group), 11 cases with traditional cut-off therapy (controlled group). The average age of therapy group is 29.34 years, while the average age of controlled group 34. 72 years,. The average course of treatment of the therapy group is 35.34 days and that of the controlled group 36.55 days. The therapy group has 31 cases of acute mastitis which are single cavity and 10 cases many cavity, whilst the controlled group 10 cases which are single cavity and 1 case many cavity. The average vomica scope of the therapy group is 27. 5217 cm~2, and that of the controlled group 12.3873 cm~2. The average vomica volume of thetherapy group is 116. 9868cm!, while that of the controlled group 29. 8918cm1. The age, the course , the abscess information, the vomica scope and the volume of the two groups have no statistically significant difference (P>0. 05) . The cases of the two groups are all healed with no significant adverse reaction. The average healing time of the therapy group is 11 days, the controlled group 18.63 days, P<0.05;the postoperative shape of the breast for the therapy group keep in shape and there is no skew nipple appearing, while among the controlled group, there are 2 cases lossing the beautiful shape and 2 cases nipple skew, P<0.05. Conclusionthe cases of the two groups were all healed with no significant adverse reaction revealed each holed cauterized needling therapy and traditional cut-off therapy have curative effect on acute suppurative mastitis. Compared to traditional cut-off therapy, holed cauterized needling therapy can keep a more beautiful shape of the breast and need less the course of treatment. So holed cauterized needling therapy is a valuable method for acute mastitis to generalization.
